Ben Pest
Its always been about music, as a nipper I tried various instruments and landed on the Keyboard. My interest in electronic music production began at school, which must have been one of the only at the time (circa 1989) to have an Atari running Cubase in their music dept. I eventually went on to study a Music Production in Newcastle, and have since worked variously as a sound engineer, music tutor and wave monkey.
Keyboard player and long-time collaborator with the band Pest (Ninja Tune), for about the last 5 years I've been rocking my hardware-only jacking live show all over.. including the Bloc and Glade festivals in the UK, the Berghain club in Berlin, and releasing on various "wonky" staples Bonusround, Victim, Seed, Sleep Debt and Panic Bridge..
Another sometime collaboration is Black 'E' - a live 'techno' project with Cristian Vogel.
